Production Blog: Reasons Why I didn't Film.

  This production blog is about why I was unable to film. My group and I wanted to film today, but, a lot of altercations came up. We already weren't one hundred percent sure that we were going to be able to film today, but we had hope. Sadly, we did not accomplish the goal of filming, I was busy with many different things and so were my groupmates. I had so much homework to do, absolutely no time to start recording clips. On top of that, I had an orthodontist appointment right after school that was approximately two hours. Along with the loads of homework, I had to worry about doing any extra credit assignments to boost my grades. I believe that higher the grade, the better. I decided to leave the filming for another day because I feel like worrying about the quarter that is soon coming to an end is more important than starting on this music video that isn't due until a few weeks. My mindset is like this because I know I'm going to get the music video done on time no matter when I start. Turning work in on time is not a problem for me, I will stay up all night doing an assignment if I have to. But, since I didn't film, I brainstormed in my head how the filming is going to go. I put together ideas on what angles I'm going to use, how I'm going to edit my clips when I film, and at exactly what time and place I'm going to film. Before I get started on production and filming, I wanted to do some extra planning. This is so everything won't be a mess and all planned out for when I start. Planning is going to make the process of recording clips easier, and prepares me to get started on filming. The filming was also delayed because I felt like more time should be spent on analyzing the "Pretty Hurts" music video. Analyzing deeper the music video I'm using, will help with making the scenes that I'm going to record more accurate according to my research and planning blogs. The more I analyze, the more deeper meaning my clips will have. Which is highly important because my music video must have a story behind it, an inspiring story for those watching is my goal.
