Editing Blog: Editing a few clips

Image
Hey blog, it's me again! I'm here today to inform you that the editing process has begun. Yesterday, the filming process was done. I am so eager to begin editing. I'm moving more and more forward with this final task by the day, which is what is ideal for me. I am not supposed to be the one editing, so I only edited three scenes. There is a editor of the group, which is not me. I was mostly in charged of filming and acting. Editing is not a strong suit of mine, but luckily it is for the editor of the group. To start with, I put scene one, scene two, and scene three together. For the first scene it took me about 15 minutes to add the effects. All I did was add a fade out effect on video star. I also added a phone ringing sound effect. However, I don't know if I like it yet there is a possible chance of me removing it. For the second scene, I jsut cut the end of the clip because it was too long and didn't follow with the script. In no time, I was done with the secon

Filming Blog: Wrapping it up!

Hey bloggers, exciting day today! I finally finished with filming. Today, the last three scenes were filmed. These three scenes were filmed in no time. In about 40 minutes, we were done with the three scenes. Surprisingly, I started behind schedule but finished earlier than I was supposed to. For scene 14, I was the one filming. Since I've already filmed around 5 scenes, I've gotten way better, and can film a quick scene in one try. For this scene, I had to get a specific a medium long shot and a zoom in type of effect. I thought filming this scene would be hard, but in reality it wasn't at all. The 15th scene took almost NO time at all. In about 13 minutes, this scene was finished. None of us messed up and quickly I got to the 16th scene took the most effort. I had to do a loud scream for this scene which took three tries. However, if I would mess up I would quickly try again until I got the perfect type of scream. This was hard for me because sometimes my scream would be

Filming Blog: Scenes 10 through 13

Hello bloggers! It's me again, here to update you on the filming I did for my opening sequence. As you guys know, yesterday I filmed scenes six, seven, eight, and nine for the opening sequence. I'm here to let you know that today we filmed scene 10, 11, 12, and 13. I am happy to inform you guys that I am not behind at all. I might actually be ahead in schedule. In the span of two days, I have completed a total of eight scenes for the opening sequence. I am so proud of myself for managing my time correctly and not waiting until last minute, which is one of my bad habits. Almost all scenes are completed, there is only three left and I'm sure I can get that done in no time. For the four scenes I filmed today, I was not in a rush at all since I was ahead of schedule which left me with a solid amount of time for filming. I believe that the filming process today ran smoother than yesterday. Yesterday there was too much procrastination and mistakes being made. Today, there was a

Today, I filmed four scenes for my final task. These four scenes were already supposed to be filmed by February 25, which is today, there was no setbacks which caused the scenes to be filmed today. There was almost setback that caused a delay in the schedule was that I had a assignment that I needed to finish. This assignment was quite complicated, and I procrastinate a lot so I thought I wouldn't have time to film and do the assignment. However, I was able to make time and film on the same day. Filming these scenes was a little time consuming because I kept messing up again. For the 6th scene, I was the one filming, once again. For the 7th scene, I was finally able to be in the scenes. In the 7th scene, I was alone at my house. After recording my group mates for the 6th scene, I had to leave and come back because I forgot something very essential at my house. Since the 7th scene was planned to be at my house anyways, I got my brother to film me doing my part. This way, I will be

Filming Blog: Scenes 3, 4, and 5

Hi, bloggers! It's been a few days since I last blogged. Today, I'm going to write about how filming three scenes of the opening sequence went. Todays work load was a little heavy because it is a Monday, and I had homework to do that was due the next day. However, I was able to film and complete my assignments! By the time I was finished with everything, I was drained. Filming scenes 3, 4, 5 also took quite some time. This is because this time I was the one behind the camera. I don't have a lot of experience with angles and making good recordings. So, recording these scenes was a great learning experience for me! I had to restart a few times while filming because I kept messing up on the shots, this caused a bit of a delay in the filming time. For scenes three, four, and five I will not be making an appearance. Being behind the camera is a big role. I have to worry about the lighting, the quality, the angles, etc. Although recording was a little nerve recking, in the end I

Filming Blog: Beginning the Process

Image
Hey bloggers, welcome back. Today, I was finally able to begin the process of the final task. I filmed scenes 1 and of the opening sequence. I was not able to film a lot because I had to go out to my friends birthday dinner. However, I'm glad that I was able to start filming. I have about a month left to film, but I decided to start today because I didn't want to leave everything for last minute. If I leave everything for last minute, I will be highly stressed. So, why would I want to put stress on myself if I have the ability to start filming right now. I was a little behind schedule. Originally, on my schedule filming was supposed to begin on February 15, which was three days ago, but there was a few setbacks. Since it was a Thursday, I was not able to find a ride to the house of my groupmate because everyone was busy with work or other things. My groupmate also lives a little far from me, so that just made getting transportation even more hard. Since today is a Sunday, way

Production Blog: Choosing Music for the Opening Sequence

Image
Hey bloggers, welcome back! Today, my group and I selected the music for our opening sequence. The process of us finding the right music choice was hard for us to because we had to find music that fit a suspenseful, mystery, and thriller type of genre all in one. Our opening sequence genre is mystery but we wanted a sound that also emphasized the thrills that come with the mystery of the opening sequence. After searching for about an hour on youtube, I found a perfect sound that matches with the scenes and theme of our opening sequence. Another reason the searching process took a long time was because something that does not copyright had to be found. This type of music is suspenseful and creepy, but it is also equally uncanny and mysterious. The suspense and mysteriousness of the sound will evoke the viewer with a tension, intrigued, excited, and fear type of feel all at the same time. While I was searching for music, I searched up a few mystery films. The reason I searched up myste

Production Blog: Change of Plans

Image
Hey there, blog! Today there was a minor change of plans with the schedule. Originally, the filming process was supposed to begin today. However, I'm not going to be able to make it to the filming location. Today, is a Thursday which means almost everyone I know is busy. People are either busy with work, homework, sport practices, etc. Since everyone is busy, I am not able to make it to the destined location for the filming of the opening sequence. Also, I have to work on an essay that is due for one of my classes tomorrow. Even if I had a ride I would still not be able to make it due to my assignment that is time consuming. The delay in the schedule does not worry me because of all the time that is left for the opening sequence. In the schedule, my group mates and I changed the filming for February 18, which is in three days. I have all of the rest of the February to film and the first few weeks of March. If I begin on the 18th, there is still plenty of time left for the rest of
