- What conventions of the genre did the movie have that you liked?
Conventions of mystery that missing had that I liked is that it remains suspenseful throughout the whole movie. The suspense keeps me hooked the whole time due to the mysterious storytelling. Missing's use of false leads and misleading trails make it exciting, these twists keeps me guessing what will happen until the end of the movie. Also, the Old West setting adds a hint of flavor to the mystery, the atmosphere adds depth to the storyline.
- What conventions of the genre did the movie have that did not appeal to you and you are thinking of not filming for the final task?
While "Missing" had many events that kept me hooked, it was too chaotic. A lot was going on at the same time, so filming a chaotic final task will be complicated. Also, there was a lot of engaging suspense but it relied on other mystery elements which made some moments predictable for those that have watched mystery films before. For the final task, I want something that is not predictable and not able to be guessed at all.
